New Years Eve will be upon us soon and 2008 will officially be over. Have you taken the time to look back over the year and assess the good, the bad and the ugly? You haven't? Me neither.
Where does the time go? Do you believe the older you get the faster the years go by? My Grandma always said this. She was a wise woman. She lived to be nearly 101 years old. I believe she was absolutely correct. Time seems to fly by, however, the younger you are the less you notice this affect.
Take the time to enjoy your life. Tomorrow is never promised. Smile at a stranger. Help someone who needs a hand. Give your time to a worthy cause. Clean out the old clothes/household items and donate them. Take a walk and hold hands with someone you care about. Give a hug to someone who needs one. Say I love you often. Give your dog that much appreciated belly-rub. Sit and enjoy the silence. Watch the sunset. Listen to a child with all your attention focused on them. They may amaze and amuse you with their insights into life.
We are all in this pond of life together. Whether you are the big fish in the little pond or the little fish in the big pond, let's keep the water clean!
Happy New Year to all of you! 2009 is going to be FINE!

Im with you, 2009 is going to be a fabulous year
Ann,
2008 had many bright spots and also several challenges. 2009 should be even better. :)
Steve
Ann, your point to live in the present is VERY well taken.
Ann- I liked your message, and whether or not it's going to be fine it will be here in a couple days :) I'm ready for whatever journey this year will take me on. Happy New Year to you....and may this year be a good one.
Ann- The good was in many people I met. The bad was the deals that fell through. The ugly was the TV news. There, I have now assessed 2008. I feel better now.
I hope 2009 is a good year for you!
Nice Blog. I think your grandmother is so right. I am out blog surfing in Missouri getting to know who's out there. Anxious to read more of your posts. Thanks.
Ann your Grandmother was right. Don't be in a hurry for tomorrow, because tomorrow will be here before you know it. Enjoy today because you will never have another opportunity to do it again.
Steven,
I am hoping 2009 will be fine!
Happy New Year,
Ann
Steve,
Hopefully 2009 will be a better year for everyone.. We always have a choice in how we view things. It is never too late to look at the bright side.
Ann

Ann
Craig,
Thanks for stopping by to read and comment. My grandma was a very wise woman...
You are welcome to stop by anytime, ;-)
Ann
George,
So true, you will never have today "to DO OVER". Make every day count.
There used to be an agent in my office who said he was living the dream. I was never sure what he meant. Then he started saying life is a celebration.
Tomorrow is a blank slate....
Ann
Time sure does fly the older you get, it seems just like yesterday we were starting 2008. We need to make the most of everyday.
Don,
It gets "faster" every year. Make the best and most of every day..and try to dwell on the good, not the bad or the ugly. The media takes more than enough care of those two.
Happy New Year,
Ann
