Ann what a beautiful building. The windows are gorgeous. Are they stained glass all the way around? What a wonderful piece of history.
Hi Ann! Do you know why the church was closed in 1924? After all it's still standing strong! Have a wonderful weekend!
I love these old churches and the stain glass is wonderful too! Thanks.

Ann OK I got to get all of these days straight. We have "Wordless Wednesday", Speachless Sunday" and "Foto Friday" have I got that right, and have I covered them all :) :) :)
History is fascinating. Thanks for sharing.
Ann - Where is this church?
Hi Ann, I love the stone work and the windows on the old rock church! Very interesting history, too. I'm with Silvia, I wonder why it was closed in 1924?
Ann - A lot of history there and very spartan architecture.
Ann, Very nice photos ma'am and it is good to see that the outside has been well maintained.
What a lovely old church - and thanks for adding the history. Do you know why it closed in 1924? Why would that be? Is it just an historical site now?
Debi
Ann,
What a great looking church. Kinda sad it has been closed for so many years.
Hi Ann, I love the character in this old church. They don't build things today like they did in the past.
Debra,
The windows are stainged glass and very old...
Ann
Silvia,
The bridge washed out and the people could not get to the church so they built a different one closer to town.
Ann
Patricia,
I love this one. It is a special place.
Ann
George,
Yes, I think that covers them all... unless I can make up a few more...
Ann
Kenneth,
You are very welcome.
Ann
Ryan,
This church is south of Pacific off highway NN. It is called Saint Patricks or the Rock Church.
Ann
Mary,
Believe it or not the road washed out so instead of replacing it, they built a new church.
Ann
John,
Yes, it is like stepping back in time..
ANn
Don,
The people who take care of this place are dedicated...
Ann
Debi,
It is used for special occasions and weddings by request.
Ann
Richard,
It is still used. Just not very often.
Ann
Sandy,
This is made from all local limestone. There is a lot of history here.
