I think Dolly Parton sang a song about a wildflower that didn't care where it grew?
Hi Ann...I have seen so many flowers come up in gravel driveways, cracks in concrete driveways, and other as unlikely place. It happens in my yard as well and I shake my head wondering why they don't all survive in my beds.
Kate
Hi Ann, They are a beautiful color of red...you don't think they like it by the post?? Might come in handy in a wind storm :-)
actually, maybe this flower is what was needed to beautiful an ugly steel post. Leave it right there and let is spread!
Jim,
I do not remember that one...can you sing a few bars??
Ann
Kate,
I have those issues too..... They will grow in places I never thought possible.
Ann
Hi Ann;
Very nice picture I love the colors, good luck.
Mary,
Yes, you are correct it might. Especially around here!
Ann
Linda,
You are right. Moving it would be work for me. I will leave it and let it grow.
Ann
Ann - In the City, Operation Brightside plants bulbs all over... including around signs. I used to have some orange daylilies in the alley of all places.
Anthony,
I guess the flower likes where it is...
Ann
Hi Ryan,
Long time no see. I was down in your neck of the woods today. I just love St. Louis in the spring. The flowers by the water tower were beautiful. I wished I would have had time to stop and take some shots....
Ann
nice flowers...I wish I had those in my yard.
Ann, oh they look lovely. I can't wait to start seeing some flowers popping up around here - hopefully soon. ~Rita
Hi Ann! Looks to me like the flower is happy as can be, just look at how it is strutting its stuff! Great shot.
Hi Ann:
I believe that's a tulip!
I do love tulips you know :)
Very pretty.
Yes! Move me away from this post so Ann can take a picture! LOL Don't often see tulips with petals that are more pointed - lovely!
Debi
Not sure why you would wanted to be planted somewhere else? When a single flower blooms in a baron place its God and the Universe's way of saying "Hey look, this place is beautiful too!" Remember beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
My wife would move it, but I think it makes the poll look better!
your friend in Charlottesville Virginia!
Ann being that close to that poll kind of puts that poor flower in danger of those four legged creatures that like to come by and water it :) :)
Ann,
It looks like this area is "posted" no tulips. I wonder who messed up? :)
Steve
Debbie,
All it takes is a trip to Lowes...;-)
Ann
Rita and Brian,
Yes, spring is such a lovely time of year...
Ann
Dona,
Thank you for the compliment...
Ann
Toula,
Yes, I guess you do like those tulips...
Ann
Debi,
They seem to be very happy where they are... Thank you for stopping by.
Ann
Jim and Janet,
Well, I needed a title...
Ann
Charles,
I would have to agree with you...
Ann
George,
Yes, the dogs are happy to help with the watering... and maybe the coyotes too. ;-)
Ann
Steve,
My flowers never listen....
Ann
Ann, I love all the spring flowers, particularly the tulips and daffodils. You have a great photo here.
Jim, I remember that song! I can hear it in my head now! Probably will all day long. good song
