Here is a great idea for hungry people.  Have you ever been out showing or looking at houses and needed a quick pick me up?  I have the solution to this situation:  Go to Steak and Shakes Happy Hour.  It takes place Monday through Friday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.  At this time, all drinks are HALF PRICE! 

This is an awesome deal for people on the go...especially if you like shakes.  I have personally visited several times and been amazed at the reasonable prices.

So to all you hungry people (buyers, sellers, Realtors, loan officers, inspectors, personal assistants, etc) :  Go to Steak and Shake for Happy Hour and ENJOY!

A better place to Recycle Electronics in St. Louis County.  This is THE place to take your electronics.  There are many places you could take your unwanted items but this place tops them all.  The prices are reasonable and the people are awesome. 

"Consumer electronics may be responsible for up to 40 percent of the lead found in landfills. Lead is very hazardous to our health."  Dcal Services sends its recycled CRTs to a smelter to recover the lead and recycle the glass from the screens.  They make sure everything is recycled...plastic, metal, circuit boards, etc.

Dcal Services charges only 10 dollars for a CRT.  They have a long list of items they will recycle for FREE:  cellphone, answering machines, scanners, routers, zip drives, etc..  For a complete list visit their website:   http://www.dcalservices.com/faqs.asp

When I visited, the staff told me they take anything that plugs in.

So think about the environment and recycle your old electronics!

Just a little reminder for you to VOTE on Tuesday, April 7, 2009.  And all St. Louis County agents, etc. contact any one you know in the City of Ferguson.  At a time when thousands are losing their jobs and homes, the City of Ferguson is trying to pass a proposition to increase the fees paid by rental unit holders (landlords) in the city to $50 dollars per unit. 

Vote No on Proposition A this Tuesday.  And if you are available, contact the St. Louis Board of Realtors (314-576-0033) to volunteer to talk to people at the polls the day of voting.  Many time slots are available.  Even if you can only give an hour, it would be well worth it.  And appreciated!

And remember, if one municipality gets this to pass, the others will follow!  We must stand up in force against this unfair fee!

Mark your calendars St. Louis Cardinals fans...Opening day is April 6th in St. Louis.  The festivities begin at 11 a.m. with the Opening Day Pep Rally at Broadway and Poplar Streets near the ballpark.  The rally will have games, food and fun for all ages.

After the pep rally or before, check out the festivities in Kiener Plaza with Y-98 radio.  This is a yearly event for Y-98 and rain or shine it will be a good time!

Later in the day at 3:15 enjoy the Cardinals game in Baseball Heaven aka Busch Stadium against the Pirates.
