If you are in the Wildwood area and are craving excellent Mexican food, take a trip to Vallarta Mexican Restaurant in lovely Wildwood, Missouri.  This tasty establishment is located near the corner of Manchester and Westglen Farms Drive. 

Here you do not need a reservation but be aware the food is good and the building is not too big.  So plan ahead so you will not be disappointed.  They serve authentic Mexican food for lunch and dinner.  They also offer a take out service. 

The chips and salsa are yummy.  I have enjoyed many meals and margaritas at Vallarta Mexican Restaurant.  Stop by sometime and give them a try.  If you like Mexican food, you will enjoy this place!

ANOTHER Happy Hour Post.  I wanted to bring it to the attention of anyone who cares:  Dairy Queen like Steak & Shake is also offering a Happy Hour special from 2 to 4 daily.  Half price on ANYTHING (I think I need a disclaimer here:  The store gets to decide what you can order) you can get through a straw.  I am wondering if this could include french fries?  Or maybe even a burger?  I have witnessed people drinking things with straws I would never be able to.

So if you are needing a little pick me up...head on over to DQ and have a cool, tasty shake or whatever you like that you can get through a straw!

The Show Me State has declared the week of April 19, 2009 a sales tax holiday for all green purchases.  Now what does this mean to the consumer?  If you were planning on purchasing a new energy star certified appliance from the following list during this week, you would be exempt from the Missouri state sales tax.  The appliance cannot cost more than $1500.  You are allowed, however, to purchase more than one.

Clothes washers      Clothes dryers*         

Water heaters      Trash compactors*         

Dishwashers      Conventional ovens*   

Ranges*              Stoves*  

Air conditioners      Furnaces                 

Refrigerators                Freezers 

* Due to the lack of an energy star rating these appliances are not covered:  clothes dryers, trash compactors, conventional ovens, ranges and stoves do not receive an energy star rating.  Therefore, the tax will continue to apply to purchases of these items during the upcoming Show-Me Green Sales Tax Holiday.  All purchases must be made by midnight of April 25, 2009.

Some cities, counties and/or districts may participate in the sales tax holiday by enacting an ordinance exempting their locally imposed sales tax during the Show-Me Green Sales Tax Holiday.  Nine counties, 57 cities and several special districts have opted to participate. 

So get out there and stimulate the economy!
