December 31, 2008:  Happy New Year!  Slopes open from 9 AM - until 3 AM.  Ring in 2009 at the only ski slope and lodge in St. Louis. 

January 1st:  New Year's Day open from 9 AM until 9:30 PM. 

Regular Hours:  (weather permitting)
Mondays-Thursdays: 1:00 pm - 9:30 pm
Fridays: 1:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Saturdays: 9:00 am - 10:00 pm
Sundays: 9:00 am - 8:00 pm  Starting at 3 PM until 8 PM Sunday Night Family Special lift and rental for only $40.

New Years Eve will be upon us soon and 2008 will officially be over.  Have you taken the time to look back over the year and assess the good, the bad and the ugly?  You haven't?  Me neither.

Where does the time go?  Do you believe the older you get the faster the years go by?  My Grandma always said this.  She was a wise woman.  She lived to be nearly 101 years old.  I believe she was absolutely correct.  Time seems to fly by, however, the younger you are the less you notice this affect. 

Take the time to enjoy your life.  Tomorrow is never promised.  Smile at a stranger.  Help someone who needs a hand.  Give your time to a worthy cause.  Clean out the old clothes/household items and donate them.  Take a walk and hold hands with someone you care about.  Give a hug to someone who needs one.  Say I love you often.  Give your dog that much appreciated belly-rub.  Sit and enjoy the silence.  Watch the sunset.  Listen to a child with all your attention focused on them.  They may amaze and amuse you with their insights into life. 

We are all in this pond of life together.  Whether you are the big fish in the little pond or the little fish in the big pond, let's keep the water clean!

Why is saying Merry Christmas considered wrong?  I cannot believe the scandal involved in saying this phrase.  This has been something said for as long as I can remember.  And now it is considered bad. 

In the movie It is a Wonderful Life...George Bailey yells this while running through the falling snow in Bedford Falls.  Now people will walk away if this is said and they do not agree.  We are encouraged to say Happy Holidays or Season's Greetings or HO HO HO, but not Merry Christmas.  What is the deal?

Thanks to my manager, John Williams, today I had the opportunity to go to a Rams football game at the Edward Jones Dome.  It was bitterly cold here in St. Louis making the walk from the parking garage to the game nearly unbearable.  For a first time at the dome, it was a pretty good game.  The dome was warm and the game was exciting.  There were four interceptions and four turnovers.  It was looking pretty promising.

But then in the fourth quarter, Isaac Bruce of the San Francisco 49'ers, managed to catch his history making 1000^th pass.  This, of course, would have been wonderful if he still played for the Rams.  But as it turned out the Rams lost in final 4 minutes of the game. 

Oh well, better luck next time Rams, we will keep cheering for you.
